Charlotte Ski & Snowboard Club will be joining Crescent Ski Council through the Asheville Ski Club for Crescent’s January 2013 Ski Week to Crested Butte, CO. Dates are Jan 12-19, 2013. Lodging options are The Plaza Condos, Grand Lodge Emmons Suite, and Grand Lodge Whetstone Suite. Plaza price is $955/person (Member cost – you must be a current member of Charlotte Ski & Snowboard Club or a Crescent Ski Council Club to participate in a Club or Council trip) and that is the lodging where we plan to put everyone from CSSC. The Plaza is just 100 yards to the lifts and 100 years to the free Town Shuttle. We have 2 Bdrm/2bath and 3 bdrm/3 bath condos available with multiple bedding arrangements, in unit hot tubs and fireplaces.
Crested Butte is Colorado’s last great ski town and has lots of great dining and entertainment and the Mountain Express free town shuttle. The Butte has 1,167 skiable acres, with 23% beginner, 57% intermediate and 20% advanced. Optional day trip to Monarch Mountain, 1.5 hrs from Crested Butte. Monarch has 800 skiable acres, 1,162 vertical, 14% beginner, 28% intermediate and 58% advanced.
Included are 7 nights slopeside lodging at The Plaza (other lodging options are available at a higher price at the Grand Lodge), on Mountain Activities, Mountain Tours, Après Ski Wine Tasting at The Plaza Condos, 5-day lift tickets (6th day optional for an additional $32), Welcome Reception, Farewell Dinner & Dance, Airport Transfers, Trip Souvenir, & discounts on group lessons & ski rentals. Air is additional at a group cost of $515 on Delta from Asheville to Montrose. This will be a great trip.
