Q: Who are the members of the Charlotte Ski & Snowboard Club?
A: We are dedicated to expanding awareness and interest in snowsports with a focus on skiing and snowboarding, though we are always expanding. We are here to serve our members and community by providing discounted trips all over the world, from the picturesque NC mountains to the Andes and Dolomites, as well as local community service. CSSC members explore the world’s snow caps in order to mountains on two sticks as well as one, come join us!

Q: What are the benefits of being a member of CSSC?
A: CSSC members have access to all of the following, and the list is still expanding:

  • Discounted prices for local weekend and world-wide week-long trips.
  • December holiday party
  • Happy hours and socials
  • Sporting and rec events from cycling and hiking to bowling and local events

And think of the effect the club has on the community with the Special Olympics Spaghetti Dinner and Auction, the Multiple Sclerosis 150 Bike Ride lunch station. What about the time cost for all the volunteers on the Board of Directors who spend many hours helping get things planned and organized for us? What would that be worth? Did you know that the value of all these is in excess of $780 a year? All this for only a current membership fee of $50!

Q: When was Charlotte Ski & Snowboard Club founded?
A: CSSC, originally known as the Charlotte Ski Bees, was founded in 1963. We’ve been around for a full generation and with your involvement, we’ll be around for a few more.

Q: How many ski trips does CSSC offer each season?
A: The club offers between 4-8 western trip each year, including race training and competitions, as well as several local weekend trips with the race team each season. When interest peaks we also organize trips all over the world. Trips can be initiated by anyone so let us know where you’d like to go and we’ll work with you to organize your dream vacation. And as a CSSC member, you have access to 50+ other trips from our sister organizations in Crescent Ski Council (CSC) and the National Ski Council Federation (NSCF).
